Victory Church Guiding Values
1. Simply Jesus
We are a Christ-centered community. We find our life, joy, peace and salvation in a personal relationship with Jesus Christ alone – He is everything. We exist to point people to Jesus in all we do. We embrace our diversity in order to unify around our common faith in and love for Jesus Christ.
2. Biblical Faithfulness
We believe that God has uniquely anointed His Word to be the main instrument of truth and transformation in the life of the church. We are committed to aligning our church and our lives with God’s Word and to reading, praying, preaching, and living God’s Word faithfully.
3. Passionate Spirituality
We believe that it is reasonable and ought to be normal for followers of Jesus to be passionate and fully devoted to their spiritual journey, holding nothing back. We saturate everything we do in prayer and depend completely on the power, anointing, and presence of the Holy Spirit in all that we do.
4. Cultural Relevance
We believe that while the message stays the same, the methods change in order to more effectively connect with and reach our culture. We are committed to challenging and changing conventional methods and trying anything short of sin to reach more people with the gospel of Jesus Christ.
5. High Grace – High Challenge
We believe that God accepts everyone as they are and loves them unconditionally. We also believe that God loves us too much to leave us the way we are and that He confronts and challenges us to grow and change. God has called us to love one another with the same High grace--High challenge love that He loves us with. We believe that life change happens best in an environment that has both high levels of grace and high levels of challenge

We believe the church is meant to operate as a loving and unified community of servants who steward their gifts together. We are a team of people working together to lead people to know, love, and serve Jesus and everyone on our team is responsible for the mission. As each of us do our part, the church is built up and more and more people are reached for the glory of God..

Our church is filled with people from many diverse backgrounds and places, but we are all on a common journey towards a deeper relationship with Christ. We believe that God infinitely loves people; that people matter deeply to Him, and therefore people ought to matter to us.

At VCMJ we are simply a group of real people living real lives. This means that through the ups and downs and struggles and victories each of us face, we strive to be open and honest about exactly where we are at. Our goal is that our church services, relationships, and our entire lives are characterized by sincerity and authenticity.

We strive to be a church that is uplifting, encouraging and that brings a sense of joy and optimism into people’s lives. We firmly believe that in following Christ we are following a Person of tremendous joy, and that His will for us is to be a people who enjoy life and live it to the full.

Becoming all that God created us to be is one of the most rewarding and important experiences that life has to offer. At our church, we are striving to help each individual discover his or her full potential. We value growth and transformation even though it often means tremendous pain and discomfort. Our goal is to make disciples who are continually becoming more like Christ through the power of the Holy Spirit.

We believe that the fundamental nature of the church is that its mission is to serve those beyond ourselves. We are relentlessly committed to fight the drift towards self-oriented church and ministry. Our focus is on reaching those far from God with the gospel of Jesus Christ here in our own city and through missions around the world.

We believe excellence is honouring to God and inspiring to people. We do everything in the spirit of excellence, offering our very best and continuously improving. We believe that the mission of the church to spread the gospel of Jesus Christ to the world deserves and demands our very best.
